Dolomite celebrates 15 years of microfluidic innovation

 

We’re celebrating 15 years of excellence in the design and manufacture of novel, high-quality microfluidic products and solutions!

 

Dolomite was the world’s first microfluidic application centre and has gone through extraordinary and continuous growth since its formation in 2005, moving into a UK office with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, opening offices in the USA, Japan, and Hanoi, and establishing a global distributor network.

Our expertise in Productizing Science® – creating marketable, commercially successful products from scientific discoveries – has enabled the development of many innovative products. Over the years, we have built a track record of pioneering cutting-edge technology, including the world’s first microfluidic connector, award-winning 3D printer for prototyping fluidic devices, ingenious droplet-on-demand Dropix system and a multitude of bespoke instruments for our customers.

In the last 15 years, we have achieved key milestones to ensure that our modular microfluidic solutions suit our customers’ wide range of budgets and functionalities. From launching a webshop to expanding our system range with platforms dedicated to drug or cell encapsulation, we tirelessly strive to accommodate the growing need for rapid research, optimisation and scale-up of microfluidic processes. Even now as we celebrate our 15 years, we are leading the way in the development of nanoparticles for Covid-19 tests and will soon be releasing of our unique Automated Library System used for Covid-19 vaccine development.

Today, our solutions serve many thousands of customers in over 50 countries around the world, working in fields as diverse as academia, biotechnology, drug discovery, food and cosmetics, and the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
