Webinar Series: Microfluidics 101 with Dolomite – #3 Discovering Key Component – Chip

This free monthly series of webinars will bring you up to speed with microfluidics! From basic principles to advanced knowledge on each key component of a microfluidic system, we’ll discuss the mechanisms behind the technology and how to apply it to encapsulate and deliver drugs, APIs, and biological materials.

Microfluidics is defined as “the science and engineering of systems in which fluid behavior differs from conventional flow theory primarily due to the small length scale of the system. It deals with precise control and manipulation of fluids in micro and picolitre scales that are geometrically constrained to microfluidic devices with internal sizes ranging from approximately 1 to 1000 μm. Watch the 3rd session of our webinar series which explores the wide range of popular microfluidic chips with their different junction geometries, channel sizes and surface properties and how they are particularly suitable for specific applications.

Join us on every last Thursday of each month in 2021 for even more microfluidic know-how!

Find the right microfluidic chip for your application

Fabricated to the highest quality standards in glass or quartz, our microfluidics chips are particularly suitable for applications where reusability, chemical compatibility, optical transparency and thermal characteristics are important, such as drug delivery and droplet generation.

Presenter Bio: Dr Chinh Nguyen – Technical Applications Specialist APAC

Dr. Chinh Nguyen is a Technical Application Specialist at Dolomite. Prior to this position, he was a Flow Chemistry Specialist at Syrris Ltd. Chinh finished his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Ulsan, South Korea in 2015. His focus was developing nano-catalysts and nanomaterials for biomass conversion and advanced photo-oxidation process. Today, Chinh advises Dolomite’s customers in the Asia Pacific region on applications related to Microfluidics and Nanoparticles Formation.
