Workshop: Droplet & Particle Generation using Microfluidics
Date: Thursday 02 July 2020
Time: 10:00 – 11:00 (GMT +07:00)
This free workshop will focus on controllable and reproducible production of monodisperse micro & nano particles for the encapsulation and delivery of drugs, API and biological materials.
Join us for a hands-on session, where we will demonstrate how we can produce these particles, achieve efficient loading and easily control particle sizes and shapes via microfluidic continuous flow.REGISTER NOW
Dr. Chinh Nguyen is a Technical Application Specialist at Dolomite. Prior to this position, he was a Flow Chemistry Specialist at Syrris Ltd. Chinh finished his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Ulsan, South Korea in 2015. His focus was developing nano-catalysts and nanomaterials for biomass conversion and advanced photo-oxidation process. Today, Chinh advises Dolomite’s customers in the Asia Pacific region on applications related to Microfluidics and Nanoparticles Formation.
Read more about the microfluidic encapsulation methods which demonstrated potential for achieving higher control over the physical properties of the PLGA particles than conventional batch methods. Typical microfluidics characteristics, such as low Reynolds number and diffusion dominated mass transfer, make it the most viable method for producing polymer-based microscale drug delivery systems with the potential for clinical application.
