The innovative Telos System is a breakthrough product for a wide range of industries requiring a microfluidic device capable of high throughput droplet, particle and flow product generation. This modular, scalable, and highly flexible technology removes the low throughput limitation of individual microfluidic chips, enabling liters of droplets or particles to be produced in a day. Each module accommodates a microfluidic chip with up to seven channels and, for maximum throughput, up to 10 modules can be linked to provide a total of 70 parallel channels; with tool-free module assembly and chip connection, set-up is rapid. Telos features integrated valves for rapid start-up and individual chip control, and operates over a wide range of pressures and temperatures, from 0 to 10bar and 4 to 50°C, providing users with maximum flexibility.

The novel Mitos Dropix, developed in collaboration with the winner of Dolomite’s Productizing Science® Competition 2012, Drop-Tech Ltd, is a flexible, automated solution for droplet-on-demand applications. Patented droplet ‘picking’ technology enables combinatorial droplet arrays to be created from multiple reagents off-chip and introduced into a flow-through microfluidic system, with accurate control of droplet size and frequency achieved via PC software. This new high throughput screening format will prove an invaluable resource for basic research, drug discovery, cell-based studies and diagnostics applications.
